Nancy Chamlee’s journey in the Episcopal Church began in Chase City, Virginia, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, where she was both baptized and confirmed. These early years instilled in her a lifelong appreciation for the joy and fellowship found within the church—a feeling that continues to inspire her today.
In 1995, Nancy and her husband, Bob, moved their membership from St. Thomas in Richmond to St. James the Less. Since then, they have deeply valued the strong, loving relationships and sense of community they have found within the parish.
A dedicated and active member, Nancy thrives on staying busy and involved in church life. Her extensive service includes participating in:
- Altar Guild
- Hospitality
- Vestry, Junior Warden (2019-2021)
- Sunday School and Adult Education
- Lector Ministry
- Eucharistic Minister
Currently serving on the Vestry, Nancy considers it a profound honor to be entrusted with this leadership role. She is committed to doing her very best to serve the people and the mission of St. James the Less.
