Dog and cat

The Pet Food Pantry at Saint James the Less provides free dog food and cat food to local families who are facing financial hardship—so that beloved pets can stay home where they belong.

We offer a Free Pet Food Pantry to our pet loving neighbors in need.  Pet food is available every Wednesday from 6-8 pm in the church basement.

What You Can Do

Celebrate: We welcome the community to the annual Blessing of the Animals at Saint James the Less. Join us on October 4, 2026 for an afternoon of fun and fellowship for families and their furry friends.

Donate We gratefully accept contributions of cans or small bags of high-quality dog food or cat food. Place donations in the Noah’s Ark donation bin located in the church narthex on Sunday mornings, or in the hallway outside the church office during the week. Or, make a monetary contribution in the church office which will be used to purchase of food.

Our Partners

We are grateful to these Ashland businesses who regularly donate overstock or discontinued pet food, food nearing its expiration date or food in damaged packaging:

  • Tractor Supply
  • Fin & Feather
  • Yokozuna Sushi
  • Red Ridge Pet Market

And to the parishioners of Saint James the Less whose abundant generosity helps sustain the all of the work that we do.
