I am a cradle Episcopalian and long time member of St. James the Less, growing up here and attending SJtL in the 1970's, 80's and early 90's, and now as an adult member since 2013. After a 10 year or so hiatus from organized religion, I found my way back to the Episcopal Church and began attending one of our fellow diocesan churches, All Souls in Mechanicsville, in 2004. I eventually returned to St. James the Less to support it's free clinic ministry, worship with its welcoming parishioners, raise my children in the same church where I was raised and enjoy the lovely music that only comes from a pipe organ (I am low church in every other way except when it comes to the music!). SJtL has been an integral part of my faith formation throughout my life. Not only was I baptized and confirmed here, but I sung in the children's choir, served as an acolyte, participated actively in youth group, and was provided the opportunity to attend St. George's Camp through the Chenery Fund, as well as attend Shrine Mont parish and youth retreats throughout my formative years. Additionally, I was witness to my parent's service to the church which instilled in me a responsibility and desire to serve as well. I've been fortunate to serve as the Marketing and Publicity Lead at All Souls, the co-lead of St. James the Less Sesquicentennial Celebration, and Member and Secretary for the Chenery Committee at SJtL.

I feel now is the right time to broaden my support of our awesome church and serve on the Vestry. If we have not yet met, let's fix that, but in the interim, a little bit about me: I am a graduate of Patrick Henry High School and James Madison University, a former corporate HR and Project Manager turned Real Estate Agent, wife to my firefighter husband, Todd, and mom to our 2 children, Peyton and Finn, and our rescue dog, Duke.
