Members of the SJTL parish serve each other through social groups as well as serving our good works.
ROMEO's
St. James the Less ROMEO's, (Retired Outstanding Men Eating Optimally) meet twice monthly at 11:30 am; currently 2nd & 4th Tuesdays. THE ROMEO's CODE: "No Tell" Policy is in effect for meals eaten & spouses' info; and a good time is had by all. No complaining, obituaries, or medical conditions discussed; no political talk, and no inside secrets or local gossip allowed. Uplifting and enlightening topics only. You can lie to others, but never to a fellow ROMEO, unless it is required to be polite or evasive. Newcomers who agree to the "Code" are welcome! Email us if you would like to get involved.
The SJTL Red Hats
Based on the national group of the same name, the SJTL Red Hats gather once a month on the 2nd Tuesday for lunch at a variety of nearby locations. All women of a certain age are welcome, and invited to participate. If you are interested, please contact the church office. Email us if you would like to get involved.
Supper Club
If you’re new to St. James the Less, Supper Club is a great way for you to meet people and to find your place in the church. If you’re already among us, it’s the perfect chance for you to reconnect with friends and to reacquaint yourself with parish life. Supper Club members provide a means for holding monthly dinners for parishioners and newcomers in a relaxed and enjoyable fellowship gathering. Members participate by bringing a dish and agreeing to host one or two dinners each year. Individuals in each of the dinner groups are rotated each month so that members have opportunities to meet and get to know other members. Sign ups for Supper Club are posted at Information Central near the Parish Office.
