Rooted in Jesus' Love
St. James the Less is a welcoming Episcopal parish that seeks to embody the love of Jesus Christ through worship, formation, and faithful service to our neighbors. We are guided by Matthew 25:35–36. "Whatever you did for the least of these, you did for me."
Our community welcomes all people—regardless of background, belief, or circumstances. Everyone belongs at St. James the Less.

Our Story
St. James the Less has served the Ashland community for over 150 years. Founded in faith and sustained by generations of devoted parishioners, we have grown into a vibrant, multigenerational parish that reflects the diversity and compassion of Jesus’ love.
From our earliest days, St. James the Less has remained committed to two things: faithful worship and faithful service. Over the years, we've expanded our ministries to reach more people—launching our free clinic, youth programs, and outreach initiatives. We are rooted in tradition and open to newness.
Sunday Worship
8:00 am Holy Eucharist, Rite I
9:00 am Christian formation for all ages. (Sunday School, Adult Forum)
10:00 am Holy Eucharist, Rite II (in person & live-streamed)
Nursery is offered during the 10 am for children ages 3 and under.
Wednesday Worship
7:30 am Holy Eucharist, Rite II
