Carolina has been a child and youth educator for over 20 years, in after-school programs and summer camps, public schools, maternal health non-profits, churches, in the homeschooling community, and in non-profits. She currently works full-time as the Youth Programs Coordinator for Sacred Heart Center, a community hub that offers educational and social safety-net programs and support for Latinos in the metro Richmond area.
She is also an active volunteer with Circles Ashland, working to resolve poverty by building community in Ashland and Hanover County. Carolina has a B.A. in Political Science from The University of the South (Sewanee), is a native of Caracas, Venezuela, and has two children.
